Mica Thomas is an ordinary woman with an extraordinary destiny. As unseen forces shape her future, her only anchor is Sean-the Primani assigned to keep her alive. If he crosses the line, there will be hell to pay.
Sometimes destiny is wrong…
After surviving a year of heartbreaking tragedy, college student Mica Thomas is finally ready to have some fun. Determined to live life on her terms, she sets her sights on the gorgeous mystery man who keeps showing up when she’s in trouble. Intense, cranky, and oh, so sexy, he’s the exact kind of challenge she loves. Romance, adventure, and good friends–She’s living the dream, but this dream is shattered when fate intervenes. When her life is threatened again, this budding psychic is suddenly swept under the protection of an immortal special ops team with a mission too fantastic to believe.
Powerful and ruthless, Sean O’Cahan is a legendary Primani. His job is to disrupt demon activity and protect special humans. When his special ops team is assigned to Mica Thomas, he knows he’s there to guard more than her body. There are plans for her. Plans that’ll change everything she believes if she survives long enough to learn the truth. For the Primani, this is a routine protection detail, but nothing about this woman is routine. Fiercely independent, brave, and sexy as hell, she’s making him crazy. He’s supposed to watch from the shadows, but the more he watches, the more he wants her in ways that break all of the rules.
As their attraction grows, sparks fly and emotions run hot. Sean’s not allowed to mess with destiny, but one moment of weakness awakens a power in Mica that sends her careening down a path towards immortality that no one saw coming.
Accompanied by her demon-hunting Dalmatian, Mica’s pulled into the Primani world of angels and demons until there’s no way out, and she doesn’t want to leave.
OTHER BOOKS IN THIS SERIES….
- Call the Lightning (The Lost Soul Trilogy #2)
- Stone Angels (The Lost Soul Trilogy #3)
- Broken Souls (Primani Stand Alone)
- Darkness Calling (Primani Stand Alone)
- Saol Mates (Primani Stand Alone)
Primani are soldiers with supernatural abilities granted by an archangel. They police demon activity that threatens humankind. Before becoming Primani, all were superior warriors (Celts, Huns, Vikings, etc.) with unique psychic abilities. The series follows them as they cross lines, fall in love, and butcher demons to save the world. Living by a loose code of morals, they’re more mercenaries than angels, prone to violence, vengeance, and in the end, sometimes, heartbreakingly pure love. The first three books follow Mica’s transformation from human to immortal after she becomes entangled in the Primani world. Each subsequent book focuses on the unique story of each Primani as they battle both Hell and their own inner demons. Often dark, funny, full of twists, and steamy passion, the Primani series crosses the lines of paranormal romance, metaphysical fantasy, and occult suspense.

Brand: Honorable Men, Brave Women, and a Healing Love
Mission: To write about emotional subjects and help the world heal through the written word.
Did you always know you wanted to be a writer? How old were you when you decided to pursue writing professionally?
When I was 8, I began writing a story, first in my head, and later in my diary. The world I dreamed about was big and complex; filled with interesting creatures. When I turned 40, I tried to translate the story I’d lived with all those years to the page…and couldn’t. So I sought help. Romance Writers of America was the only group that said, “Come on in. We’ll help.” So, I started writing and learning and exploring the craft of writing. One day, when I’ve learned enough to write such a complicated story, I will write about the world that exists in my head.
Why do you write about Honorable Men, Brave Women, and a Healing Love?
I used to think I wrote about strong men and women. After all, some of the men in my stories are modeled after my husband, a former military guy, and the strongest man I know. But then I realized I write about characters that are healed by love. The characters I write about aren’t just mentally or physically strong, but brave and honorable and willing to do the right things, even if loving someone comes at a personal sacrifice.
What is your writing process?
Over the years my writing process has changed. When I first started, I plotted and plotted, making massive spreadsheets of every little detail. I knew everything I could about my characters and story before I began, but my books turned out stiff and emotionless. My process has evolved into a story structure outline, which works much better. Now, I write my first draft and focus on story structure and let my characters do what is natural. After I get the bones of the book down, I start several edit passes to deepen the emotions and add flavor to the book. Normally, before the book goes to an editor, I’ve done at least 4, maybe 5 passes of the book. After that, I work with content editor, line editor, and a proofreader to make sure I’m putting out the best book possible.
Have you won any awards for your writing?
Yes, actually. During my journey to write the best book possible, I’ve won several awards for three of my books. There is one book that has won an award that I don’t intend to publish. There are four other books also sitting in the archives of my computer. These, I call my practice books, and will remain in a folder to be looked at when I need to reflect on how far I’ve come on this writing journey.
How do you develop your characters?
Character development is the driving force in my writing process. I start with what the character fears the most, and then move onto the false belief that character has created to cope with that fear. Then I start building a growth arc to help that character resolve their fear through a healing love. After that, secondary characters are used to entice main characters to reflect, either by mirroring bad behavior or “calling out,” essentially creating a catalyst for change.
If you couldn’t read or write for a day, how would you spend your time?
I love spending time chatting with friends on Facebook or Twitter, or researching new words for my Word Wednesday posts. I also enjoy designing little notes for my quotes and sharing them on Pinterest. If my husband isn’t traveling for his job, I like spending time with him, playing with my four-legged fur babies, or exercising. Several times a year, I like to get away to explore, usually to international destinations. I enjoy experiencing new cultures, visiting museums, or studying the city architecture or landscapes. My favorite trips so far have been to Machu Picchu and Prague.
How do you come up with character names?
Don’t laugh…I usually just Google professional model names, or use an iPhone app called, Name Dice. Name selection is always hard because each character in a book needs to start with a different letter. In fact, in the book, Orphaned, I had a Rachelle and a Michelle in the book and beta readers kept getting confused so I had to change Michelle’s name to Caitlyn.
If I wanted to be a Beta Reader or one of your Advanced Readers, how do I sign up?
That’s an easy question. You sign up on the website http://www.LyzKelleysHeroes.com. All the information is available. I’ve created a VIP Club for those special members who provide feedback or leave reviews. In return, this special group is the first to see my covers, hear release news, and receive freebies. If readers have additional questions, they can always contact me. I am the human on the other end of that email, and will respond.
If you wrote a book about your life, what would it be called?
I love one-word titles for my books, so I would believe the book title would be, Determined. My husband always says I’m the most determined person he’s ever met.
What do you find the hardest about writing?
I think it’s the mental anguish that goes into the writing process. Each word, each sentence is a struggle to get right. Every day I push, push, push to get better, and then I get edits back or read a review and the person on the other end of the keyboard has just ripped my heart out and crushed it without even knowing how much their words hurt. Even so, I do appreciate the feedback. Feedback helps me get better. Over the years, I’ve gotten a much tougher skin, but there are days that are hard. For me, no actor, singer, artist, photographer, or anyone who is brave enough to share their creation with the world, will get a negative thought from me. I know what it takes to put myself out there. It’s hard, but there’s something in all creative types that compel artists to keep reaching for their nirvana.
What’s the best advice you’ve been given about writing, or life?
The best advice I’ve received was from my great-grandmother. She said: “Set your goals high. If you don’t, you will never know what you might have been capable of achieving.” And boy, did I set my goals high. When I first started writing my stories down, I figured it would take me two, maybe three years to write my book. Ten years later, I have my first viable project. Most writers will tell you that publishing is a marathon, not a sprint—a very accurate description.
If you could go back and change one thing about your writing journey, what would it have been?
Nothing. Each mistake I’ve learned from. I wouldn’t change a thing.
What advice do you wish someone would have given you before you started writing your first book?
Find your tribe. Find the people who will help you achieve your dream. Writing is a community effort. You need people who give you constructive feedback and help you to understand if the story in your head has translated well onto the page. You also need people who can make you laugh or pull you back from the edge of the cliff when something happens. There are so many things that can chip away at your confidence and create insecurities. Friends help provide the perspective you need to keep writing.
How would you describe your writing style?
When I was young, I used to love to write poems. I loved the struggle to find the right word that rhymed, and the beat of each line. Maybe, that’s why it takes me so long to write my novels. I still love using the English language to it’s fullest, and finding that perfect word to communicate exactly what the character is feeling. It’s what makes writing exciting, exhausting, and euphorically fun.

America, leaving people without the most basic amenities. Lana is taken from her home
and forced to accept a world full of infected, violent beings. Life as humans
know it is over, and in its place is a constant fear of death, paranoia, and
world is simple: survive. But survival comes at a cost few can bear.
more survivors, new threats surface, their past decisions haunting them as they
pass through abandoned towns. Armed with nothing but the pack on her back and a
long-handled knife, Lana fears whether or not they’ll make it to their
destination–or if she’ll perish along the way.
This is Mismousey’s very honest opinion of her most amazing and magnificent ZOMBIE book ever. Now I have never been one to read books about zombies. But must say – after reading this one, I intend to add them my reading list. Mismousey has always been one to try reading all books with an open mind. And I am very happy that I do. Now that being said. Let me tell you how I feel about the authors writing skill.
Ms. Lavati’s has such a creative mind and skill and she is able to show the reader exactly what is happening to the point that you believe you are right there. You believe – you are there with them and it is happening to you. You find yourself running from the zombies and hiding for your life.
Once she has picked up her pen and taken it to paper you are able to see her creative juices flow unto the paper. Her work and storytelling – in my opinion is like Stephen King. She is just that great with this thriller of “THE LAST LEGACY”
Ms Lavati is also the author of the Curse series, Wingless, Reliant Love. If you have not read any of her books. I suggest you do. She is an amazing and very talented –gifted writer. Now let’s get on with a tidbit of “THE LAST Legacy”
The Last Legacy is about a young women by the name of Lana- she has no family. Her neighbor next door has a noisy little Chihuahua she calls snippy. Now on her way home from work this creepy ole man asked her if she had heard what they had been saying on the news. That they were going to war. As she got off the bus and started walking to her house- she felt the ground move. It was like an earthquake had hit. Once Lana had made it into her house – she turned on her tv set. There was the news lady yelling and warning everyone to stay indoors. Bombs are being dropped across America containing lethal toxins. We are just getting word of.. then everything went blank on the screen. No reception- no anything. Lana jumped up locked all her doors and windows. She barracked herself – placed towels in the cracks where she could. Lana sneaks outside feels the ground rumble and hides. But men find out and want to know why she is outside. She should be inside- they tell her go inside and hide not to come out and if she see anyone with red eye’s to kill’em.
She runs indoors and locks herself in There she hides until a group of men find her. One particular by the name of Jim. He actually finds her first before the rest of the guys. And tells her to do what he says. He is trying to protect her without telling her and letting on to the guys. If they knew they would kill them both.
Now – we have Lana and Jim together. They try to get away from the group. The group has plans for Lana – as they only want to take turns with her. Finally Jim gets them away- as they are running an, hiding trying to save themselves. They pick up strays along the way.
Will they be able to make it to safety?? Will the zombies get them?? What happens to Jim and Lana?
In order to find the answers to these questions and others. You will need to read this FANTASTIC-TERRIFIC-THRILLER-OMG IS IT A HOT READ OF THE YEAR!! Unrequited, Fallen Aces MC #1 by Max Henry
She was, still is, and will never be anything but my everything.
Our love was all consuming, passionate, and forbidden. We took risks to be together, carrying on an affair for months before her psychotic drug lord husband found the truth behind the lies. She barely escaped with her life … and that of my son.
My club president told me that our love was no longer worth the risk, gave me a choice, and loyalty to the club being what it is, I walked away from her. I left behind the only thing I’ve ever wanted more than life itself and remained the dutiful soldier to a corrupt leader.
Six years and a promotion to club president later, it’s time the lies stopped. She IS worth the risk, I’ve NEVER gone a day without thinking about her OR my son, and I know underneath it all she DOES still love me. She just won’t admit it … yet.
Max is the author of the suspense filled, and highly emotive Butcher Boys series. She writes uniquely dark romance, featuring damaged alphas and the women who help them achieve balance in their lives.
Originally born and bred in Canterbury, New Zealand, Max now resides with her family in beautiful and sunny Queensland, Australia. Life with two young children can be hectic at times, and although she may not write as often as she would like, Max wouldn’t change a thing.
In her downtime, Max can be found at her local gym, brain-storming through a session with the weights. Or, she may be out bumping, and jostling her way along a dirt track with the family in hubby’s 4WD.
FANATICS A BROOKLYN CRIME NOVEL
RICHARD HILARY WEBER
RELEASED OCTOBER 20,2015
For fans of Kathy Reichs and Linda Fairstein, Richard Hilary Weber’s new Brooklyn Crimes short novel follows police detective Flo Ott as she crisscrosses the borough’s mean streets and lands in the crosshairs of a highly skilled assassin.
NYPD detective Flo Ott has rotten luck. First she’s put on bodyguard duty for U.S. Senator-elect Cecil King after a ultra-right-wing terror cell announces plans to assassinate him. Then she’s saddled with investigating the homicide of a hip-hop mogul. Ballz Busta was fatally rapped on his head outside his mistress’s Park Slope condo. The two jobs couldn’t be more different. Finding Busta’s killer takes Flo into the outrageous livin’ large margins of the Brooklyn music scene. Keeping Senator-elect King alive requires constant vigilance as well-trained assassins could strike anytime, anywhere. It’s only when these cases explosively collide that Flo realizes she’s finally caught a break.
What she doesn’t know is that she’s lit a fanatic’s fuse and now he has a new target: the woman cop with the nerve to try and stop his murderous schemes.
I received this book from the publisher via NETGALLEY- in exchange for an honest opinion. This is Mismousey's very honest opinion of the author's RICHARD HILARY WEBER book- FANATICS. Having never read anything that Mr Weber has written before I was unsure of what type of author he was or even how this story would even play out. Boy- was I surprised to find out that FANATICS is the most thrilling read ever. The writer catches your attention from the very first page and hold you captive through out till to the end. Mr Weber has a creative way in his storytelling and in description of the characters and the scenes in the story. As for his plot of storyline- my goodness- it reads like it could be taken right off today' news headlines.. Our story opens up murder of a man by the name of Owen Smith. He goes by Ballz Busta. It is a wake up call to Senator -elect Cecil King. See the Double A is after him and will stop at nothing to get to him. Detective Ott and Detective Murphy are assigned to King - they are to make sure nothing happens to him. This is gonna be a hard task- but they will do there best. While trying to keep him safe there is another attack on his life. Ott and Murphy are also working on solving the murder of Ballz. It is done by the Committee and they want King dead also. Will Ott and Murphy be able to keep King alive? Who actually killed Ballz? And will the Detective's get the killers ? For all these answers and more you need to read the book. This is a fast pace book. And it is an edge of your seat thriller. I am looking forward to reading more books written from this author. This kind of thing is child’s play for Babe–until a sudden twist in the negotiations leads to a string of corpses and a titanic power shift in gangland politics. With the sins of his father piling up and dragging him down, Leo throws himself into the investigation of a young prostitute’s murder, a case that makes him some unlikely friends—and some brutally unpredictable enemies.

EX CON FOR DAD COP FOR A SON EQUALS TROUBLE
I received this book through NETGALLEY from the book PUBLISHER ABILI. In exchange for an honest opinion. This is Mismousey’ very honest opinion of the author- ROBERT MCCLURE’S – DEADLY LULLABY
Mismouey has never read any books that Mr. Mcclure has written before. But I do love a good crime thriller. And boy did this one sound like it!. The way in which the author wrote the bio for the book-he had me hooked. And I do mean it – picture it a mouse going for cheese (hehe).
The way in which he takes pen to paper to create such a DRAMATIC -COMPELLING- EDGE OF YOUR SEAT/PAGE TURNER! Is truly GENIUS! From the very first page -he hold you captive. You have this DESIRE-NEED-WANT -CRAVING to keep reading till the end. As you HAVE to know what happens next. You will find yourself being pulled into the book deeper and deeper till the end.
DEADLY LULLABY is about a LAPD Police Detective by the name of Leo Crucci. He goes by the name of Crooch. As our story opens Crooch just found out his father is now out from the pen- Babe. Babe has done 7 years for a crime. He still has connections with his mobster friends. Even though he wants to get out of the business. As for his son Crooch – he has a gambling problem.
Babe gets asked to do a job and bring his son Crooch and Chief along to help him out with it. They are to take out Mackey. Which Babe does not tell his son about – he lets him think he wants get Mackey to help him out. So they go to Mackey place for a convo. Instead when they are alone Babe breaks his neck. Crooch is a witness to the murder. Now he is on the payroll for Joe Sacci. Well actually for his father- but Sacci ordered the hit.
Mackey goes missing along with his crew. His niece (Levitch) is looking for him for him -Mackey. she goes to The Venetian Social Club looking to collect the money Crooch owes along with info on where her uncle is. It doesn’t work – as he get’s the best of her and Latzo. Later when Crooch was off duty he got a call from his commander called him. Told him that he was needed at a scene of a dead body. All other available men where downtown on a scene on a torch job.
Crooch didn’t think nothing of it. He wasn’t expecting to be on duty as it was his off day. o he had a few drinks. Crooch drives to the scene- he finds a young Asian girl probably Cambodian dead. She had been strangled. Her age is approximately 18 or 19. There is no ID on her and no one knows who she is. The caller stated that a big black dude had taken off from inside the bushes and ran like crazy towards Wilshire. With a purse in his hand. All the officers on the scene with him are out chasing down the suspect and asking if anyone saw anything.
They catch the suspect -his name is Taquan Oliver. Crooch interviews him- and Oliver is throwing off classic signs that he killed her. Oliver gives his statement but he also states he was stoned . He says he say a short fat guy with her. But Crooch doesn’t believe him.
Oliver is placed in jail- he has 2 other bunkies in his cell. During the night he hangs himself. No one saw anything – and the guards on duty didn’t think he was a risk for suicide. Hmm sounds fishy to me ….
Now as for our victim- we learn her name. She is Sonita Khemra- she has been living with her uncle Khang Nhou as her mother Phath Khemra could not control her. She thought that her brother could. He owns KN Imports it is also rumored that he is into drugs.
While our Detective is trying to solve the murder of Sonita- he is also doing his best to stay away from his father Babe. Not only that but Crooch and his father have issue between themselves. Does that work out for him? what actually happens with Sonita’s case? Who did murder her? Will Crooch be able to stay away from Babe and the mobsters? Does he keep his job? Are father and son able to finally let the past rest and start picking up the pieces?

At twenty-three, I’m left with a decision. The outcome could be life or death.Trent hit me once, and I cried. Then he hit me again. And again. After a while, I got used to it, as I slept on the floor beside his bed, night after night.
Everyone told me to leave him, but I can’t. He won’t let me.
The moment I wanted to give up on myself and any form of hope, Kemper—a tall, sexy Marine just home from Afghanistan walked into my bar. With one look in his eyes, I saw pain that mirrored my own.
At first, I thought maybe he would be my prince charming, riding in to save me, but all it took was one tragedy for me to remember…fairy tales don’t exist in real life.
*The content in this book discusses domestic violence and is suitable for readers over 18*
“That’s twice in one day I’ve had to save you,” Kemper says, his soft voice soothing my nerves as he presses a cool compress against my forehead. His other hand is cupped around my cheek. No one has ever cared enough to save me. Kemper’s face is inches from mine and I can smell the cool mint on his breath from the gum he’s been chewing.
“I guess so,” I mutter, falling a little deeper into his gaze.
His thumb runs down the length of my nose, and while most of me is feeling pain, that sensation still drives quivers through my body. “Does that hurt?” he asks.
I shake my head, “Not too much,” I say, noticing a slight ache in my neck.
His thumb moves over to my right cheekbone and he presses gently. “How about that?” All I feel is the warmth from his skin. I shake my head again. He does the same for my left cheekbone. This time I wince. It hurts. I clench my eyes and I hear him yell to someone to grab ice. “Is this the first time he’s hit you?” Kemper’s brows are bowed toward his nose while his thumb continues to trace small circles around my cheek. I’d rather lean into his hand than respond.
In truth, I just don’t want to answer him, but he’s still staring at me, waiting for a response. I look down, away from his gaze. The ache in my chest, mixed with feeling like a weak woman, makes me want to cry, but I won’t cry in front of all these people. His finger curls under my chin and he tilts my face back up to look at him. His eyes are kind and caring, yet pained at the same time. The light is hitting them at the perfect angle, giving them the slightest shimmer in the center of each pupil. Then there are his lips—I can’t stop looking at those either. They’re full and capable. They look like they have the ability to kiss in a way I’ve definitely never been kissed. I want to touch his lips, but I belong to Trent—the asshole that just hit me.
